MCS150 USDOT Update
Your USDOT number is required to be routinely updated every 2 years regardless if you are an interstate or intrastate carrier, or your business operations have changed.
The month that this filing must be completed in is determined by your USDOT Number, the 2nd to last digit being even numbered calls out even numbered years, the 2nd to last digit being odd calls out odd numbered years. The last digit calls out the month;
1= January
2= February
3= March
4= April
5= May
6= June
7= July
8= August
9 September
0= October
Your USDOT number needs to updated in the following instances;
You have had a changed in business operations.
You received a VMT Outdated Notification
You are going out of business.
You need to reactive your USDOT number
The Federal Motor Carrier requires that you update them within 30 days of any change in operation between routine filing updates.
